EMDR Consultation

Tiffany Mylett, LCSW is an Approved Consultant in Training through EMDRIA. She receives consultation of her services from Susan Reed, LCSW-S, MSW, EMDRIA Approved Trainer and Consultant.

Once you complete an EMDRIA approved EMDR Therapy training course, you may begin the process to become a Certified EMDR Therapist. To qualify as an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist, you must complete the following requirements:

  • EMDRIA Approved Basic Training and required consultation hours for training

  • Be fully licensed as an independent mental health provider (LCSW, LPC, LMFT)

  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in your field

  • Minimum of 20 hours of consultation with an Approved Consultant or Approved Consultant in Training, with at least 10 hours as individual consultation (5 individual hours to be completed with EMDR Approved Consultant Susan Reed, LCSW-S, MSW)

  • Conducted at least 50 EMDR sessions with at least 25 different clients

  • Letters of recommendation from Approved Consultant and Consultant in Training

  • Minimum of 2 letters of recommendation, from colleagues or peers, regarding your professional utilization of EMDR, ethics in practice, and professional character

  • At least 12 hours of EMDRIA approved continuing education (Basic Training does not count toward these hours)

  • Signed agreement to EMDRIA’s Professional Code of Conduct

Note on individual consultation: 10 hours of individual consultation are required. Of those 10, 5 hours can be completed with Tiffany Mylett, LCSW-S. A minimum of 5 hours must be completed with Susan Reed, LCSW-S.
